Friendly helpful staff every time I go! On my first visit the staff were so patient with me, they kindly explained the system and asked if I needed any more help. The last time I went I asked about the spider plants they have hanging throughout the building, before I could ask she said I was welcome to take as many baby cuttings as I liked, she gave me scissors and a bag to carry them home. Great service beyond the basics. Way to go Olds team!

The staff are beyond friendly!! I love going to this Depot because of the staff and how they make me feel when I am there. They always remember my name and act like they are happy to see me. Additionally, the Depot is very clean and takes many precautionary methods for covid such as masking and having plexiglass dividers at all stations. I also love their drop off service. It makes taking in the bottles so convenient and easy and they are so quick at counting them and calling me to come get my money-usually within the same week!
Manager was so accommodating and helpful for our Grad Bottle Drive! She went out of her way in customer service excellence with every interaction! Was such a fun and positive experience!!! They made it so easy!! Thanks Olds Bottle Depot!!!

Lisa, Taylor, Eric and Daniel are great team. I have always had great service from bottle depot in Olds. The team is very personable, the depot is clean and occasionally I drop off bottles to be counted later, they always call me back to let me know the bottles are counted and money is ready for pick up. I’ve been to Red Deer Depots and it is a night and day difference in service.
The staff are very friendly, caring, work very hard to get everyone through quickly, and they are following proper Covid-19 protocol. They do a great job!

It really doesn’t matter which business in town I deal with - from a restaurant to a dealership to a grocery store - Lisa, Dave and staff of Olds Bottle Depot offer the friendliest, most enthusiastic and timely service of anywhere in town. My kids and I genuinely enjoy our bottle drop offs and visits with the staff.
Today we took our recyclables to the bottle depot. As the depot wasn't busy at the time, one of the employees came out to our truck and helped us bring our bottles into the depot. We felt she went over and above what was expected of her and we applaud her for her super service.

The Olds Depot is one of the best I have ever been to. I prefer the one in Olds. All of the staff are friendly and courteous. Joseph and Eric are the two counter people I deal with the most. I am collecting bottles at my lake community to raise money too help a friend in Mexico to have his daughter receive a Bone Moro transplant so I am in the Olds Depot every Monday cashing in well over 2500 bottles and cans therefore fast and efficient service pleases me and I get that from these boys and a large smile from the blonde lady which her name escapes me that does the express line and the payout. If you have a rewards and recognition program in the Depot company these 3 deserve a pat on the back and some kind of recognition. Thank you

Every time I come in it is clean and everyone is so sincere. The last time I was in the computers went down. The staff all worked together to get them up and running and continues to serve customers by manually writing down the returns. I drive from another community to just come to this depot because I am always happy with the service.
We did a bottle drive for my daughters hockey team the Bantam Elite Grizzlies. The staff was fantastic they did everything for us at the depot!

We had a great experience with our Olds Depot we did a bottle drive filled a 20ft Trailer with bags and boxes of empties and thinking we would be waiting 2-3 weeks for our money, they called me the next week with our cheque ready. great job
I brought a truck load to be recycled and because I had my kids in the vehicle, I planned to just drop it all off to be done at a later time. The gal at the front said they would do them up for me quickly right then. So they split of my bags between 2 tills and had them done in the same amount of time it would have taken me to simply haul it all into the drop bins. Great service!!
I had just moved to Olds. This was my first time at the depot. The lady at the counter was amazing. I asked her what all the bins with labels on were and she spent her time to walk me thru all the areas. She explained what all the bins were for donations as well as the monthly bin that donations were going to. Next time I will donate my bottles as she was so nice and friendly and took the time to make sure that I aware of all the aspects of the bottle depot. Great staff and well kept clean depot.
Pulled into do my recycling this past week, the manager can out and helped me bring in my bags. WOW The staff here is very nice always met with a smile, and a greeting. Awesome team__

The Olds Bottle Depot and it's great staff perform an amazing service to our community. Besides just being an exchange outlet to bring our recyclables into to exchange it is teaching the little girl I look after the value of recycling and commerce. She is constantly on the lookout for bottles that have been discarded and we carry a bag with us on our outings so she can collect them. When we cash them in it gives me the opportunity to explain to her the value of her efforts even though most times she just wants to buy candy with her new found wealth...lol. My next lessons to her when she gets a little older will be to save for things that she really wants. As an aside, we both acknowledge the workers that staff the Bottle Depot, they are always very courteous and well trained, making the experience of our transaction worth coming back for as well.....Thank you very much for all that you do!

They have excellent staff, who are very friendly, keep the place looking clean and tidy, are fast at counting the cans and bottles. They seem to always be looking for way to update their technology and this makes them even more efficient. With my work we collect thousands of cans and bottles and always enjoy taking them in to be counted. The latest trip we had over 2000 bottles and cans and the lady who helped us did it in under an hour, it was exceptional. Thank you Olds Bottle Depot
I got in and out in 16 minutes! I had five big bags of bottles and cans. Depit was very clean and staff were friendly.
They are always fast, friendly and clean
The service here is both friendly and efficient but better yet, these people care about their customers. I have arthritis in my knees and standing for more than five or ten minutes on a hard surface like cement causes a level of discomfort I try not to have to experience if I can avoid it. For this reason, I try to arrive early enough to get to one of the three handling stations right away. A few weeks ago, I arrived to find three people already lined up and each with many bags of bottles etc. to be handled by the depot staff. I was just about to leave with my three small bags of bottles when a very nice man (aka Derrick), came over from his sorting and opened the express station for those with two bags or less. He was very pleasant and had me through in a few short minutes. This was something he did not have to do but did it anyway and did it with kindness and a smile. This attitude carries over to all the staff I have engaged there so I truly believe they deserve to be applauded.
The staff has always been so helpful and kind. We have done tons of our bottle drives through here. They keep the place clean and always lots of a staff to help out.

I love your bottle drop off service. I dropped my bottles off on a Monday at noon. I received a phone call at 11am the next day saying they had counted my bottles and I could come by and pick up my money. Everyone their is so friendly and willing to help me out. I am so thankful I don't have to stand in line and wait for my bottles to be counted. I am mom and I work full time, so I am happy I can drop off my bottles and pick up my money a couple days later.

They have staff that actually knows what customer service means and it has been great every time I have been there, no matter how busy they are. My parents have recently moved here and I now bring my recyclables here because I know they will be open and more than willing to do their job.........
Fast and very friendly people! They actually talk to you and they count your bottles properly..My girlfriend and I have moved to Olds ,Ab to further pursue my girlfriends passion for animals and get her vet technician degree! So all change counts! It's much appreciated

Great customer service, friendly staff and the cleanest bottle depot I've ever been in! The bright cheery clean building is a reflection of the pride this group takes in doing there jobs. I actually live in Chestermere and make sure to take my bottles to Olds while visiting family just to go specifically to this bottle depot.
The service is always fast & courteous. The staff always greet you with a smile no matter how busy they are. Even when you are the only one waiting they will stop what they are doing to open up a station even though the wait would be 5 minutes or less. There is a special needs man who has 2 hand trailers that he uses to collects bottles & cans from around town & when he brings them in they aren't always in the cleanest of conditons & he sometimes arrives at busy times. The staff always greet him by name & assist him in any way they can.
Staff have great smiles and are always friendly. They would quickly and efficiently, even going so far as to thank me for recycling.

The staff are very helpful and are always eager to serve the public. The environment at the depot is always clean and orderly (doesn't have the usual bottle depot odors). The olds depot also has monitors that show how many bottle, cans, etc. that the user is returning as well as refund amount.

I go this particular bottle depot every few weeks. I have always had excellent service. They really do an amazing job. I have yet to meet an employee I didn't like. They are all fast and efficient. When I go there and there are no empty spaces, and I have more then the 2 bag limit they take me at the express line. It doesn't really bother anyone as they are so fast at what they do. I know they often can't talk when sorting bottles as they are keeping track, yet each time I get someone they make an effort to engage in conversation. I appreciate that.
I am a regular visitor to this depot. I always visit with one large bag of bottles. The express line isn't Always open when I get there, but within a few minutes of being recognized as an express lane customer, one of the staff is opening the express lane and servicing my order. The express line is a very important part of the depot, only if it is utilized properly...... this depot does just that !!! Yours thankfully....... very satisfied customer
The Olds bottle depot is like no other! The facility is always clean and the staff are very friendly. The whole encounter is quick and courteous. Not only do they work to help our environment they also help with many charitable donation options and with local people doing their part. Thank you for being a beautiful and welcoming facility!
It's one of very few places that I visit I town where I always get a smile and speedy service! The staff is awesome, the depot is very clean (for a depot :)) and I rarely wait longer than a few minutes, even if there's a line.

The Olds Bottle Depotis a wonderful facility. It is bright, spacious and always clean. The employees have always been very helpful and friendly. They go above and beyond to make your visit easy and speedy.
The staff are always glad to see you by looking you in the eye and giving you a smile. The staff keep the place clean which can be a challenge when you are as busy as they are some days. I see the staff helping one another as well which tells me they must be a good team.

The other day when I got into Olds, Alberta, the power was off and most business were closed . I thought I'd go to the Olds Bottle Depot anyway and was told I could bring my few bags of empties in and they could put them through. They did that, added up the totals manually and were even able to give me my cash! I love going to the Olds Bottle Depot to recycle my bottles, cans, milk cartons, etc. Thank you !!

Great service deserves commendation I don't even live in Olds but have family that do and I actually take my bottles to this specific depot because of the service and professional atmosphere.
Aside from the reasons above for my own personal recycling, I also take recycling there in large quantities with an organization that I volunteer with. No matter the size of load that we bring (often a horse trailer full) they are able to accommodate our group even with little or no notice. The Olds Bottle Depot have stored and counted our bottles for 3 years now and they have helped our Society raise THOUSANDS of dollars with their partnership to build our community park. The staff always come and help open the doors and ensure that we have a large enough area to place our recycling. The administrative staff have written letters to Alberta Parks to help with our accounting process and so many other little touches that make a big difference when you are dealing with fundraising. Without the Olds Bottle Depot, our volunteers would have to spend hours sorting and waiting to achieve the same result. With Olds Bottle Depot, we know that the job will be done right! This team deserves a standing "O" - not just applause. Thank you Olds Bottle Depot.
I guess I would go to my local depot even if they were not so great because in a small town my options are limited. Still, I've lived in bigger centres for 50 years of my life and I cannot honestly think of another depot that is as clean, freindly and well organized as the Olds Bottle Depot. They even made the outside of the Depot look good. I've been so impresed the times I have visited that i wanted to congradulate them publicly.
The staff at olds depot work very hard and very fast. Some have been working there for years and I would have to say that they love thier job. I have been to many other depots and have never got the service I have gotten from olds.

These staff members are committed to their community.......our Olds. It is with integrity that staff stay open after hours to accommodate a late arrival or a client who has stood patiently for an hour and not told to go " because we are now closed". Olds depot clearly care about their environment as there are many ways to make sure your bottles are recycled. Olds depot embrace many fundraisers to help our community......from individuals to businesses. I appauld and am very proud to be able to have such an outstanding business in my town. The depot is always clean and the staff are friendly. It is also very well staffed so there is never a long wait. I really appreciate that has my time is valuable. There are hanging plants all over which makes for a fresh atmosphere. And the computer system they use for calculating your order is very efficient and much appreciatated as I have been to depots in the past where you just have to go by the scribbles on the pad that they are giving you the right amount. I have been to depots where it didnt matter if you had 1 bag or 20 you got the same amount of money back. In Olds they are very honest. I always recommend them to my friends in the surrounding area. Good Job!
Excellent communication and very fast service
When I was there today, one of my containers accidently spilled out of my car. Some bottles broke and it made quite a mess. One of the members associated with this depot helped clean it up. He is quite the character and collects bottles every day himself. I appreciated it so much. Then when I went inside I was able to get into the express lane and was out in no time

I think my bottle depot should be applauded because the workers work hard and even when there are line ups out the door, they work calm and efficiently. I have not encountered any bad experiences at my bottle depot.
They are well trained and organized in the completion of your deposit.They work quickly and keep the handling as clean as possible. They count correctly and post individual items when complete. Always friendly and pay attention to where and when you came in to make sure when your next in line for sorting. I go about every three months when I have a small collection and it seems that it's one chore I enjoy doing.

The staff are always cheerful, ready to help and process my bottles quickly. The building is easy to access, always kept organized and tidy. Staff will assist you in brining in your bottles if needed. They also have a different area for people/groups to drop off bigger amounts and can be done seperately than the poeple that bring in smaller amounts. The depot has also done fund raisers for different programs and people in need. It is also nice that they provide jobs for individuals that require supports for employment. I have family that bring their bottles to Olds as it is a nicer process than the depots in their own towns.
staff is always helpful, quick processing, seperate area for drop off orders that are processed sseperately to make the main area go faster. wash up area is always clean, fund raise or organizations and people in need. offer jobs to handicapped individuals where they wouldn't be able to be employed elsewhere.

They depot also employs several idividuals with high needs that would not be able to work without supports. Overal it is a great organization that is a huge asset to the Olds community.
This is the cleanest, most organized and efficient bottle depot I have ever used. The people and very friendly, polite and do a very good job. If you don't have time to wait if there is a line up you can leave the containers and they will process them and give you a call when they are done.
1) They continuously update the depot to serve the needs of the community. We are able to leave our bottles there, not have to wait in long line ups, they will count our bottles and either call when you can pick up your money or they will even mail it to you, it's your choice. 2) Friendly, helpful staff, willing to go the extra mile to accommodate the customer. When they were really busy and had no room to store more bottles, I had thought my order was lost. Turned out they were there, just not yet counted. Upon my inquiry, they counted my bottles that same day and called me the very next morning. 3) They employ persons with disabilities and special needs which is fairly important in my community and to me, due too the large percentage of these people living in our community. 4) This bottle depot is easily accessible which makes it easier for persons with disabilities. The staff specifically cater to these individuals - including one special needs person who attends the bottle depot several times a day with small amount of bottles. They remain always friendly no matter how many times a day someone shows up there. Overall I can't say a bad word about the Olds Bottle Depot. I have had a great experience dealing with the owner and staff. They deserve an applause for all they do!

The staff there all deserve a medal for working in such a loud, noisy and yes, sometimes not so nice smelling place. They are always very friendly and take their job very seriously. I spoke with an employee just this morning and commented about the horrific smell beside us at the next stall. She did admit that sometimes she finds herself vomiting in the back after sorting through some unwashed milk containers etc. I was nearly ready to puke with what I smelled. I honestly don't know how they can do the job with such dignity and a smile on their faces. I have been using the Olds Bottle Depot for about 40 years, seen many changes in how bottles are sorted, etc. but what has never changed is the caring staff that have worked there. I applaud our Depot!
Olds Bottle Depot people just rock. All of them are friendly, work diligently and are always staying calm even though the lane of people and the garbage bags filled with empty containers are getting longer and bigger! It teaches you kindness, patience, getting relaxed and admiration for those hard working humans. I so hope they get a fair pay!!!!!
I think the Olds Depot should be Applauded because they truly try their best there to accommodate the customer. I have never had a bad experience there. I have been going to the Olds Depot for years. I am a strong believer in recycling. They do an amazing job.I believe the Depot is part of an organization called the Accredited Supports to the Community. They work with people in our community to provide them with jobs and teaching them to be productive and become an important part of our community. I really can't say enough about the Olds Depot here. We are truly blessed to have such a "beautiful" well run building in our town. They work very hard there to provide the public with the best service as they can. They put back into the community far more than they even know. They also provide a "Recycling Ranger", this is great for fundraising groups collecting bottle containers, not to mention the new red barn, its very pleasant to look at, and so much more convenient for people or groups to bring in large orders. So once again, these are just a few reasons why the Olds Depot should be applauded. I am so glad I ran across this "contest", I am not the sort of person to participate in these sort of things, yes an i-pad would be nice, but even if I am not the lucky winner, I felt so strongly to have my say as to why we perhaps take for granted the services we are provided with because of other peoples hard work, I really thought here's my chance to say Thank-You to the Olds Depot. Keep Up the Great Work, and you all there deserve to be patted on the back each and everyday. :)
The staff there is friendly and courteous. Always a smile for everyone
The lines are always incredibly long and they work hard to keep up with the rush of people coming in with hundreds of recyclables. Not once have I seen any of the workers look frustrated by the amount of people coming in. They always greet me with a smile and ask if there is anything else today.
Our Depot is clean, pleasant, progressive, and treats handicapped people with dignity and respect, both as an employer and as a service to handicapped people. That is the joy of a small town! Recently the Olds Bottle Depot re-organized its space so it could serve the public better and increase the volume it could handle.
Have you seen how clean, organized and friendly the staff are there? That's why the depot in Olds needs to be applauded!

Because of the people that run it,very exceptional.I'am one of those people that try to make it look precentable.I work part time at that building Tuesdays & Thursdays for 2 hrs in the morning,I take a lot of pride in keeping it clean.Our bottle depot is run by a very outstanding non profit organization ,I have worked there for 12 yrs & I'am very proud of & our bottle depot:}
Our depot should be applauded for cleanliness and excellent customer service. Staff treat customer with respect and take time to attend to special needs like when needs to donate to a special cause.
The olds bottle depot is clean, well organized, and professional. I appreciate that the organization as well as its employees take the time and money to participate in programs that benefit our local community, such as special needs programs, accredited supports to the community (ASC), childrens hospital donations, and more. Our community benefits greatly from their goodwill, and I like to support my local environment. :)
I believe the Olds depot should be applauded because they have responded to the public on many occasions one of which is - OPEN on SATURDAYS! Also in the name of efficiency they have computerized all their systems such that the public can view the screen and see the automated tally which to many customers is a great confidence boost. As well, the focus on the environment is huge and well appreciated by all - design, roominess, cleanliness all adds up to great service.
The staff is very efficient, fast, and friendly. The depot is well organized, great signage, cleaner then most, great hours of operation, painted nice, plants. Always busy, so lots of people must think the same as me. Love my depot!!!

This Depot has amazing customer service skills, their staff are always so friendly. They are using technology and you are able to see your returns add up on a computer screen in front of your eyes. It is much more reliable and very neat to watch the numbers add up. They also offer a reliable drop off service which can be very convenient if you are in a rush.
Everyone is always very friendly and helpful - we have 5 children so I usually have my hands full but they are always willing to help and get everyone in and out quickly as they can. Plus they have a great drop-off service too!! Even the customers are friendly, it makes one of the less glamorous errands much more enjoyable.
