This depot is very well organized. They are both clean and efficient. It's smaller so I haven't yet had to wait to be served and when I am, the service is kind, courteous, and friendly. The staff are terrific. They also have multiple charity donations they accept which makes it a perfect time to give back as well.
We went to Daylands Bottle Depot on Saturday March 25, 2017. And we were very pleased with the building because it is clean, didn't smell. Everyone was happy to greet you as you walked in. I think we will drive there for now on.. The employees made you feel welcome.. We live in Sedgewick, AB and I don't mind driving to Dayland. This is the cleanest bottle depot that I have ever been in, I am close to 70 and have never seen a hornet free depot especially in August, nice and clean, no smell and the owner goes the extra mile to accommodate needs, thanks Daysland Bottle Depot for a great job.

I am in my 50's and have been to many bottle depots in the past as our work moved us to many communities. Going to a bottle depot has never been a chore that I have looked forward too:)) ... until now! The owner and staff at Daysland Bottle Depot are no less than remarkable. When I first walked in the building a few years ago I had to stop and make sure I was in a bottle depot. It was like walking into a retail store.... very clean, organized and the usual smell of alcoholic beverages didn't hit you in the face when you walked in. Instead, air fresheners line the window sills and the smell of cleaning solutions are notable no matter what time of day you go. The owner and staff were so friendly and accommodating. Their process of sorting bottles is amazing!! They are quick, efficient and their counts are visible for me as a customer to see with the marking of their tubs. I have been to many depots and left knowing or feeling I was shafted in the count for various reasons. The buckets for charity donations line their counter as they work towards supporting the many clubs and organizations in Daysland and surrounding communities. I say 3 cheers to Daysland Bottle Depot! Thank you for your outstanding business practices and community contributions. I think this depot should be used as a model for anyone wanting to get into the business or to want to make positive changes to their existing depots.
They do an amazing job, they are very friendly and helpful and keep a very neat and clean shop. They also have charity donation jars at the front desk, rather than taking personal tips. Good job Daysland bottle depot!!!

Our depot also has a pick up service which is very convenient, so you don't have to haul your recycles in. They do it for you! An awesome service to have. I have been living in BC for the past 10 years and recently moved back to Alberta. Being new to the area I called ahead and was given great directions to the depot as well as instructions of what to do when I arrived. I arrived with 8 BIG garbage bags full of bottles, 3 people jumped on them. I was in and out within 15 minutes! Great, fast, friendly service!
Owner is extremely professional and courteous. I appreciate the manner in which he treats his customers. Also, the facility is clean and well organized. The owner is also very community minded and supports many organizations within the town and surrounding area. We are fortunate to have him as our bottle depot owner/manager.

I brought my bottles in and they had them sorted and counted within 5 minutes! And I had a fairly large load of bottles. The people in there are friendly and easy to talk to.

The Daysland Bottle Depot is owned and superbly managed by community members Dwayne and Lenora Seiferman. They employ a number of personnel - also local community members - who work hard and are pleasant to interact with. The efficiency of this bottle depot would amaze anyone; I recently went in with 6 large garbage-bags full of assorted bottles and was out of there with my cash in less than 10 minutes. As an added bonus, I chatted with other community members, caught up on the latest news, my son was offered a lollipop or two, and their friendly cat made instant friends with all of us. I appreciate the people at this bottle depot for more than personal gain, too. During our minor hockey bottle drives, the staff volunteer their time to our cause and take the job of organizing and counting on for us after we collect the bottles. There are jars on the front counter and running totals of local organizations to donate towards within the depot. The staff are even willing to drive to other locations and collect the bottles to recycle. To say that this business will thrive for years to come is an understatement; myself, my family, my organizations, and my community as a whole know their value, appreciate their hard work, and will continue to show our gratitude for their generosity and good will. Daysland Bottle Depot ROCKS!

The depot is kept in extremely good/clean condition. The service is excellent. And the people are so nice.
The people that serve you are great, the facility is kept clean & is in an orderly fashion. I brought in a huge trailer load & in one hour & fifteen minutes I was unloaded & things were sorted. When other customers came into the depot, everyone was taken care of. The one thing that stood out in my mind that I have never seen at any other depot was the cross checking of the tally on the empties in numbers as well as the return to me dollar amount. That is why the Days land staff should be applauded. Thank you & keep up the great work.

Being a new member to the community, I returned some bottles here for the first time recently. I found the operators to be friendly and prompt with service. They seem to be quite well respected by the few people I do know. They also have excellent accessibility and hours.
They have a pickup service where they will come and pickup bottles from your home. The Daysland bottle depot has amazing service and friendly staff. The bottle depot is a very clean place with fast service.
We would like to applaud the Daysland Bottle Depot for helping us do our hockey team's bottle drive on Tuesday, October 20th. We are a team from Camrose, about 30 minutes west of Daysland. Dwayne and Lenora, owner of Daysland Bottle Depot, brought their trailer and parked it so we could go and collect bottles and load their trailer full. Well, we filled their trailer, the back of their truck as well as stacked their back seat full of glass wine bottles to the roof! They took everything to their Depot and within 2 days, we had our money. So easy, no mess and no sorting in the dark and cold - they did it all. They were so accommodating and super friendly. We will definitely be using their services again, as we appreciated their assistance in making our fundraiser easy but yet very successful at the same time.
It's a very convenient, welcoming & organized depot that makes taking your bottles in a delight! They count and sort all of your bottles for you, while being very polite and friendly at the same time!!

They are very helpful, even helping to unload the vehicle. And, it is the cleanest and better smelling depot than I've ever been to.
My grandkids- ages 9,7 and 5 and 3 sorted hundreds of bottles/cans so that they could earn enough money to go on a little family outing to the West Edmonton Mall- I brought in a mountain of cans, bottles and cartons but Shelley and her staff were so obliging and cheerful. They got them all counted and I was out of there with the kids and their money in less than 15 minutes- the boys and girl were thrilled with their $150.25 and the trip is being planned as I write Thanks Shelly and crew!!
We had a team bottle drive held through this bottle depot. The service is fantastic, very impressed. I would definitely organize another one with this facility.
They were amazing to our hockey team to help raise money. They took a trailer to Camrose for the kids to fill on their bottle drive. They filled the entire trailer plus 7 trucks went back to Daysland. They were wonderful. Also, the Depot is the cleanest Depot I have ever been in!! That deserves an applause!!

Our bottle depot is up and above any other bottle depot I have ever been too. They are so clean and helpful. My children enjoy coming along to visit with the owners and employees. As soon as the bottle depot see us coming they jump up to help, they are beyond kind supporting several charities. They are super clean and provide hamd sanitizer and wipes to aid in personal clean up. As well as suckers and tattoos for the young ones. I feel safety is also very present in this facility as the first aid is clearly marked. It is a very wonderful business in our town with a great name its built itself.

ITS WELL ORGANIZED AND HE ALWAYS IS WORKING WITH THE CUSTOMER TO PROVIDE THEM WITH EXCELLENT SERVICE AND TO BE ABLE TO ACCOMODATE THEIR NEEDS. AS PRESIDENT OF THE LOCAL GOLF COURSE HE WORKS WITH OUR OPERATION TOO PICKUP OUR RETURNS ON A REGULAR BASIS AND IS TRUSTWORTHY IN MAKING ACCURATE COUNTS AND FORWARDS MONIES IN A TIMELY MANNER. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK AND SERVICE THE EXTRA EFFORT IS MUCHLY APPRECIATED.

They are so very accommodating! One time I loaded up my recycles and took them into Daysland on a Tuesday morning. When I got there they were actually closed as I forgot that they were open Wednesday - Saturday. Door was locked and that is when I noticed the "hours of operation" on the door. But the owner and employees were working inside and they heard me drive up, unlocked the door, and let me bring my recyclables in even though they were closed. The owner knew that I live out of town in the country and it was sure nice not to have to come back the next day!!! I just have all my recyclable's in plastic bags and always have a full half ton load when I bring them in. I bring them in, dump them into a kid swimming pool as they are busy sorting and counting. It is just amazing how fast they can sort and count a whole half-ton load of bags of recyclable's! By the time I get my hands washed up from hauling in my bags they are already adding up the total. They are also very supportive of their local community. The staff they employee are also just as friendly and accommodating as the owner. Daysland Depot really does deserve to be applauded!!!!
They are always friendly and considerate and accurately count the bottles returned. They have good hours that allow people to bring their bottles when it is convenient. Also they have a drop off option if you can't make it during their hours. Finally they are quick! The person ahead of me arrived at the same time I did but started unloading faster. Even with only one counting station available we were both out of there in less than 15 mins with a total of 23 bags of containers.

Dwayne and Lenora Seiferman have developed such an effective system of managing their business that we brought in numerous bags of cans and bottles and were out of there within 5 - 10 minutes. Not only this, but they have a drop-off service to leave bottles when they are closed. I have never seen a Depot so well organized, friendly, and efficient.
Their operation is very organized and clean. An added bonus you can enjoy some candy while you wait, and they offer wipes to clean your hands too. You can also drop off your bottles when they are not open and write down your name to pick up the money later, they really go above and beyond.

We happened to be travelling to Camrose and found out that Daysland opened early enough that we didn't have to carry the bottles around with us.They were friendly and had a unique way of gathering bottles. We dumped ours from a garbage bag into a childs swimming pool. There were several of them that way they could just be picked up and moved around. The owners are very friendly.
This depot should be applauded because they run their facility very efficiently. The business is very, very clean, it doesn't even smell like a bottle depot!! Daysland depot is a well run facility. They help you every step of the way, from unloading to sorting and they do it with a smile! The depot is clean, organized and easy to access, with lots of parking. When our community held a grad gathering this spring they came out to our hall picked up the empties, did the sorting and then sent the cheques to the various community clubs that we requested. On their counter they also have donation jars to local clubs that everyone can donate to if they choose. They are great supporters of there community and an asset to the town of Daysland.

Duane Seiferman (the owner) is very courteous ,prompt and goes out of his way to help his clients. He is a member of the Heisler elks and attend all meetings and fund raising event. He also has a cold storage fenced and locked property with many units for rent. His wife Lenor is currently working towrds her pharmaceutical degree. He has one son and one daughter.
This depot is very neat, nice atmosphere,and they don't rip u off like other depots!
These folks go and beyond to extend great customer service. They offer sorting service at no charge and you can leave your recyclables and they will sort and then call you with your refund when they are finished. Great service if you are a busy family. They are friendly and offer great service, They employ local staff and summer positions to students. The DAYSLAND DEPOT is very well maintained so is a clean and friendly depot to attend. These are new owners who bought the business about 2 years ago. It was in a horrible ,sticky, stinky, mess and they have cleaned it up to the point where it even smells fresh! They are also very friendly and helpful.
Even though we are only a small town, the folks at the Daysland Bottle Depot are always willing to go out of their way to make recycling a breeze for their customers. After hours sheds are available for bottle drop off and on site pickup is an option. They are always warm, welcoming, trustworthy, and great to deal with. I wouldn't recycle anywhere else!
Always very courteous and efficient. If they are busy I can leave my bottles with them and they will sort them and phone me to let me know my money is waiting. Clean and well looked after building.
This depot is very prompt and precise,your empties are counted closely and you do not get ripped off.

Since the new owners took over the place has never looked so good! There is organization, pleasant atmosphere and friendly and knowledgeable help. It does not take long to have my recycling completed and I feel welcome every time I visit. The cleanliness is impressive. I would recommend this depot for anyone who needs to use this type of facility.

Daysland bottle depot is owned/operated by friendly, helpful, polite local people with a great attitude and respect towards the community. Besides the usual bring your bottles to them service they offer bottle pick up or after hours drop off and return later for refund service. Clean, efficient and organized They have organized on site donations collection for local community events/services (eg. minor ball, minor hockey, arena fund, etc.). It is the busiest small town bottle depot I have ever been to; that should tell you something! People enjoy coming. GREAT JOB

The Daysland Bottle Depot owners and operators are the most friendly people you will meet. They are always helpful and polite when you go in and many times if they are not busy help you unload your bottles. They are always helping out with the community and are a great business to have in town.

I thinkd my depot should be applauded because they are very friendly, and fast, and they support not only children here in hockey/baseball but also donate money to the Stollery Hospital in Edmonton. They also will accept broken glass bottles/jars!
The bottle depot was in a disastrous state. New owners gave it new life. They turned it into a beauty! It is a pleasure to take my beverage containers there. Congratulations to the Seiferman family. They were not afraid of hard work and have done Daysland a great service.
These people are very very friendly. They go out of there way to help out organization to help fun raise. Alway there when a helping hand is needed. They help young folks out by giving them a job and showing the life skills. They are the best!
Our depot needs to be applauded because of its "service", not only the service that we receive when we do our returns but the "service" that this depot provides for our community! The owners have a very obvious love for their town and surrounding area. They donate to and support lots of teams & groups from in and around Daysland. We appreciate them more than I think they know. The owners at the Daysland Bottle depot go above and beyond for customer service. Not only do they help you count and sort your recyclables, they have a shed where you can put your recyclables after hours. I have two young children and the bottle depot has activity books and lollipops which helps pass the time for the little ones, and also makes the trip "exciting" for them. They have donation jars for both local/non-local charities, which is an excellent way to give back to the community.

I showed up at the Daysland bottle depot with a two year supplie of cans, bottles, milk containers, juice jugs etc. They processed all my empties in one hour . Did I mention that this was gathered from two house holds. They were well organised and very personable , great visit. Did I mention that I used a sixteen foot trailer to to get everything there. Way to go , See you in a year !
Since the new ownership took over the Daysland Bottle Depot it has improved greatly. The floors, tables, sorting trays and containers are always clean. The management is very careful in following the Alberta Depot guidelines in dealing with customers so customers can always be confident that they are being dealt with fairly and accurately.
They are honest, courteous, friendly and quick, why would you go any where else?
They have been very helpful with our school bottle drives. Anyone who takes bottles there can donate to the school and they keep track and send us a cheque. The owner is also very nice and friendly.
The turn around Dwayne has done with the depot compared to the previous owner is unbelievable. On top of it all he gives back to the community and other charities. He is also always willing to go out of his way to retrieve our bottles at our convenience not his own.
I have lived in many major cities and town across western Canada and The Yukon and NWT. I will not mention the centers that made recycling a nightmare. Some of them I would be scared to go to them for the angry attitude and feeling of being stupid if you put a beer can in pop can flat. Many had lines for sorted and unsorted and if you needed to sort there was very little room. So I still have this fear of bottle depots when I go to the Daysland. AB Depot. And a kindly gentleman opened the door and explained his system. You just placed your bags in large circular sorting bins AND THEY DO THE REST! They do not give you the evil eye if you've forgotten a cap on a bottle. You just relax and let them "whirl" through the job. And at the end you are presented with a pretty good chunk of cash a great big smile and Steve says "Come back again , and I do go back He truly runs a pleasant business and appreciates his customers!

Daysland Bottle Depot should be applauded because they work very hard and they are amazing people. Everytime I go in with bottles they always take the time to visit with me and ask me how my day is going and how my family is doing. They know everyone by name and treat you like family. My kids (2 and 3 years old) love coming with me i the bottle depot, they are sure to get a yummy sucker everytime. Duane and Lenora Seiferman and family are amazing people and we are so blessed to have them run this business the way they do and play such a special part in the town of Daysland.

the way this depot is set up is amazing. This was our first time using this facility and we had a truck load of bottles. The Daysland depot has such a unique set up and the way the staff work it is extremely efficient. They had our bottles sorted and counted within minutes. Then the way they kept such good track of the counts so we could see that everything was fair was a really nice touch (we had been cheated before). We will definitely choose to go to the Daysland depot from now on. (where we live we have the choice of three different areas)
They are by far the friendliest, cleanest depot in our area. They took a business and made it a place Daysland and area can be proud of again. They are small town people who understand what it takes to make our community great and you can see that just by standing in their business. The money that they have have raised to donate to the stollary and to our local arena are a few great things they have done.

Very professional, always friendly and cheerful. The depot is always clean and tidy. Never smells of stale beer etc. and have never been pestered by wasps like some depots I've been at. I applaud their involvement in various charities and our community. They are indeed Unsung Heroes.

We've lived here for over 14 years. This depot has changed hands a number of times. These guys rock. We live on an acreage and could just as easily hit several other small town depots but Daysland is by far our favorite. They are truly community oriented. There are several local charity donation jars as well as a bulletin board. Friendly, committed, exceptionally polite and professional. Its a good place to run into old friends on a Saturday as well. Like a coffee shop except you leave with more cash than you came with. Did I mention their drop off service. You won't see that in Calgary or Edmonton.
The employees are super friendly, always have a smile on their face and always willing to lend a hand. Makes our recycling process much more enjoyable
The owners are local people, so it's nice that the business is locally owned. They are friendly and helpful, very hard-working, and are willing to go out of their way to accommodate others. I feel that they are a real asset to the community.
The owners have gone above and beyond to provide a friendly, well-running bottle depot right in our community. Always smiling and incredibly helpful, they make it easy to "take your bottles in". They are also very involved with the community and want Daysland to be as successful as possible. They provide convenient hours and even when they are not open, provide an after-hours drop-off service for those who cannot make it at the allotted times. Daysland Bottle Depot is definitely one of the best bottle depot's around!
First of all they have all kinds of fund raising from hockey, schools, childrens hospital. The owners and employees are really nice people.They work hard. Their depot system is fast and organized.It is also clean.I bring all my bottles from camping back with me to support them.
Hardworking people always friendly, there fast don't have to wait long for them to be finished, there depot is never dirty and there is no wasps
