The service at Bowness Bottle Depot is excellent. One older gentleman loves to be her customer service agent and often makes sure she comes to his table. My daughter always walks out very happy with her money and complementary sucker :)

Gary and Ali from Bowness Bottle Depot have been very supportive of the Silver Springs Outdoor Pool Fundraising Foundation in its efforts to raise money to rebuild the Silver Springs Dive Tank through bottle drives. They have been extremely cooperative, professional at all times, and have been excellent to work with . I would recommend them to any charity or fundraising group who wants to incorporate bottle drives into their fundraising efforts.
Nia L. We approached the Bowness Bottle Depo to help us with our bottle drive, to help save our local outdoor swimming pool. Ali and his staff have been amazing. He has been organized, friendly and helpful. We have made a friend with Gary who has come to all 3 of our bottle drives to load the truck. We have done drives, in the snow and hot sun, he works so hard! Everyone is helpful and polite and his facility is the cleanness I have been to! I never have to lift anything when I show up, there is always someone to unload my van or help me load up boxes of "door knockers" to advertise. We are so happy to have partnered with Ali. thanks!

Marilyn D. The owners and regular staff are glad to see me and such wonderful smiles! I love the steel counters with a drain in the middle to take away excess liquid from the bottles. Now with the computerized screen to count the bottles instead of the usual paper. Awesome! The owner has over the years hired people who are down on their luck and teaches them customer service skills and now the use of computers is wonderful.

Janell L. This bottle depot is the most efficient depot I have every been to. Everyone is very friendly and the facility is impressively clean. One day while I was unloading only one box of bottles an employee hurried to assist me even though I was not carrying much. I was very impressed with the customer service.
Jamie N. I have followed this depot from it's last location (across the street) and I really like the manager there (not sure of his title). He is always pleasant, polite and when I have my kids in tow, he always offers them a candy. It's a good way to get the next generation to carry on with recycling ~ The staff is also very polite and very efficient. I never wait very long if there is a line up and they are quick to help you empty bags/containers if needed. I will continue to take my recycling to the Bowness location, it's a winner !! Thanks for the great service ~
Lyndel L. They always give the best customer service. When I get out of my car they immediately come and help with my bottle bags and wheel them over to counter. I never have to open a bag myself they are always very polite and welcoming. Now this depto has even more efficient way of calculating the number of bottles, on a computer screen that both I and the bottle guy can see when he/she counts them. Always providing great service.

Charmaine G. Its cleaner than most depots, its well organized, it looks like a organized business. Other locations look like a messy make shift place. This place is quick and organized and the staff is friendly. The payment office has a little tray of suckers that my kids love, so they never complain about having to come.

Hedda Z. The guys that sort and count are very fast and efficient, but most of all they're nice people and usually cheerful, sometimes greeting me with a smile and a little conversation. The depot is very clean and well-maintained, and I like the tv screen that makes waiting pleasant. I also like the new computer system they've installed, so that the plastic card automatically totals the number at the till, and I can see the amount. I particularly like the couple who run the depot, as they always smile at me and are happy to see me, as I am them. Because the sorters are fast, I can usually find a parking spot within a minute or two of arriving on the property, but I do have one complaint. On three different occasions, I have seen people who have no disability permit parking in both the handicapped stalls, even when there are other stalls open and available to park in. When I was physically disabled, it used to frustrate me to no end when I had to walk extra distances when I was in pain, all because people disrespect the signs. They think they will only be there a minute, they don't care about others, or they resent disabled patrons taking up available stalls. Who knows. Perhaps a periodic surveillance of these stalls would help ensure that they are not being abused. I realize it's hard when the depot is very, very busy, and have no suggestions on how this could be addressed, other than keeping an eye out and making announcements when the stalls are occupied by people who have no tags. Perhaps more adamant signage and a warning about the fines, or a request to be considerate of disabled patrons. Generally though, this is my preferred depot because the service is so excellent and the people are really great.
